MISSION STATEMENT

Latino Leaders of Tomorrow at UCLA is a student-run organization that aims to empower UCLA Latinx students through its three pillars of focus: professional, academic and networking development. Latino Leaders of Tomorrow primarily serves the Latinx communities on campus to help students explore and develop their area(s) of interest. Through the development of each student that runs through our organization, we strive to support Latino leaders in becoming well-equipped to empower themselves, their peers and their communities envisioning a tomorrow of community advocacy.

THREE PILLARS

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Latino Leaders of Tomorrow at UCLA is committed to helping Latinx students on campus further and acquire new knowledge and skills that will be useful for each student’s envisioned workplace of profession and that of the professional workplace at large.

ACADEMIC DEVELOPMENT

Latino Leaders of Tomorrow at UCLA is committed to helping Latinx students on campus advance their knowledge and awareness of available academic resources on campus to further student retention and learning post-secondary completion. Latino Leaders of Tomorrow also seeks to create a familial environment through which students can share their academic experiences and advice, using our community cultural wealth to create communal academic knowledge which students can use to navigate and take on the academic challenges and opportunities on campus.

NETWORKING DEVELOPMENT

Latino Leaders of Tomorrow at UCLA is committed to helping Latinx students on campus forward and gain knowledge about networking abilities and skills. Latino Leaders of Tomorrow envisions networking as a tool through which students may be able to further their knowledge about different areas of profession and allow for connections with knowledgeable and experienced individuals in these areas that may provide the opportunity to gain experience in such areas of focus that include but are not limited to internship and job opportunities. We believe networking, and the breadth of networking connections is essential to furthering undergraduate student opportunities and experiences during and after undergraduate education.
