Laptop Lending

Locations: Arts Library (8 laptops), Biomedical Library (32 laptops), Geology Library (14 laptops), Music Library (12 laptops), Powell Library (90 laptops), Science and Engineering Library (30 laptops), Young Research Library (85 Laptops).

CLICC offers laptop lending to any UCLA student, faculty and staff with a valid BruinCard. We have lending locations in seven libraries: Arts, Biomed, SEL/Geology, Music, Powell, SEL/Boelter, and Research Library. Laptops are checked out for four hours at a time, and users may renew their laptop once for an additional four hours. In addition to laptops, CLICC also lends out headphones, mice, VGA cables and adapters, as well as projectors (only at Research Library and Powell lending locations). Overnight laptops are also available for checkout to current UCLA undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff with their valid BruinCard. They can be checked out from our Powell lending location between 9:00 PM and 10:00 PM Sunday through Thursday, and they are due back the next morning at 9:00 AM. The same late fines apply. Overnight laptop lending is available Sunday through Thursday, Week 1 through Finals Week every quarter.

Student Technology Center

The Student Technology Center (STC) provides technical assistance for the UCLA On-Campus Housing Residential Network and Cable TV services. Our highly trained staff is equipped to provide technical support with computer problems over the phone and in person in our office. Computer repair services are offered for a reasonable fee. We also provide lab computers with internet access and basic productivity software, printing/copying/scanning (in black & white or color), and domestic & international faxing. Rieber MakerSpace

Location: Rieber Hall, across from Feast

The UCLA Makerspace located in Rieber Hall is a studio equipped with tools such as laser cutters, 3D printers, scanners and computers with design and programming software installed. The space also features a station with power tools for wood and metal working. Hours are from 11 am to 7 pm and is open to all students.

Studio 22

Location: ​​​3rd floor of the De Neve Plaza Building, Office 333D

Studio 22 is a multi-media resource center located in the DeNeve building under UCLA Residential Life’s Learning Centers. They offer opportunities for student development, through experiential learning. Our mission is to provide programs for UCLA students that offer training in media production, a community developed around media arts, educational workshops, and career development opportunities. Services also include photography and camera equipment rental.

Free HBO Go

All UCLA students living On the Hill have free access to HBO GO and MAX GO.

Resflix

All UCLA students living On the Hill have free access to UCLA’s Residential Life “netflix”, or Resflix.
